Metal Decorating Inks

In the printing world, the term “Metal Decorating” is applied to the decoration and protection of a wide range of metal objects by enamels, varnishes, lacquers and inks. We shall, therefore examine the decorative role played by inks in the decoration of objects manufactured from tin-plate, tin free steel, and aluminium.

The manufactured items range through cans for foodstuff, oils, paints and chemicals ; aerosols ; caps and closures ; collapsible and rigid tubes for toothpaste, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals ; advertising displays. Printing can take place directly on to the metal surface or on to a enameled substrate previously applied to the metal by roller coater.

  • Suitable for jobs which requires PR resistance and also pass through multiple
  • High temerature processes during printing. Having termperature resistance between
  • 180 Deg C – 250 Deg C. (depends upon shade)
  • Can be printable on all types of substrates & enamels.

OP-Series  Alkyd Transparent Over printing Varnish 140-150°C/10 minutes 15 – 20
  • Excellent Top Coat Printing Varnish available in Gloss & Matt Finish.
  • It is recommended to use fountain solution having a pH value between 5.0-5.5
  • (for a good drying and water emulsification)
  • No heavy metal.
