Aluminium Collapsible Tube Inks & Coatings

Collapsible tubes are manufactured by extruding slugs of aluminium. These along with similarly manufactured rigid aluminium containers for pharmaceuticals and aerosols cans are printed by rotary presses after forming. Ink plays an important part in the overall performance of the decorative system. They are printed either directly on to the metal substrate, or over a transparent size or pigmented enamel. The ink must possess excellent adhesion and flexibility characteristics.

R.C. Tube Internal Lacquer R.C. Tube Internal Lacquer 35 +/- 2% 60 Sec. +/- 5 Sec. By B4 at 30 Deg C. A 2 Coat system with the above lacquer will ensure that any breaks in the 1st Coat are covered by the 2nd Coat. In such cases the 1st Coat should be under baked @170 Deg C for 12 min and the 2nd coat baked at normal schedule (200 Deg C for 12 min). Under this condition dry film weight for 2 coats will be 5 – 6 mgm/sq.inch. Pl note to get optimum properties please ensure PROPER STIRRING of Lacquer before application.
